About Kino James and His Artwork

Hi! I’m Kino and thanks for taking the time to check out some of my work. Well you can probably guess from the titles of most of the work that I live in New Mexico. This is a wonderful place to live if you like the outdoors. It provides an amazing environment constantly changing with seasons and colors. I love to play with colors and with the geometry of the landscapes surrounding me. I try to grab just some of the energy or emotion or… whatever it is generated from these landscapes and translate them through impulsive color and design. All of my work is done in soft pastel on paper, which is an ideal medium to quickly capture a creative burst of energy. Basically I have 3 sizes, small is 24"x 28", medium is 38" x 38", large is 48" x 48", and the largest I can do is 4’ by 5’. All of the work is framed in a natural maple wood profile frame behind glass, but can be framed however you prefer.
